MELO Athens

Such a good stay. The hotel is right in the center, and the staff were really kind and helpful.

We’ve stayed here twice across three different rooms and loved it each time. The rooms are clean, modern, and roomy enough, and we liked the ones with outdoor space best. The people are great and the service is terrific. Just be aware there’s no one at the front desk after 10 pm, though you get a code to open the door. It’s right in Psyrri, about a two minute walk from Monistaraki. Some rooms can get noisy at night depending on which one you have and how busy it is, but that doesn’t bother us. For the price, we highly recommend it.

The staff were very helpful, and the rooms are huge. The location is as good as it gets.

I’ve lived in cities my whole life, but the noise here was absurd. It went on until 1 am, with a child drumming outside the window, live music from several restaurants on the square, regular street noise, and the occasional fireworks show. The windows might as well have been a sheet in front of a speaker. With the double glazing shut, there was no noticeable difference from sitting out on the balcony. Unless you plan to stay out until 1 or 2 am, I’d strongly recommend booking somewhere else.
