The location is good, but this was the worst hotel I've ever stayed in. For nearly 600 euros a night, the rooms were disgusting, old, and apparently hadn't been refurbished in 20 years. The cheap furniture was chipped and damaged, and the beds should have been replaced 10 years ago. They were the most uncomfortable I've slept in. I was booked for three days, but had to extend when my mother was taken to hospital. Going back every night made me depressed. I'm only just recovering from the experience. Staff were rude, though a few were okay, and the service wasn't five-star. Breakfast cost extra and was disgusting. The hotel should be flattened and rebuilt. It seemed to cater mostly to cruise ship guests, with cruise liner stands in the entrance and coachloads of people coming and going. The tiny lifts fit three people at most. We sometimes waited 5-8 minutes in a big queue. I don't know how people give this dump five stars. I've seen several reviews mention the same problems, and the marketing department basically copy and paste the same repetitive response to each review below five stars. The hotel seems to have no intention of improving and just replies politely to save face. They may wish to welcome me back soon, but I'd rather camp in the square than sleep in that dump again. I doubt it gets many repeat guests.

We had a lovely five-day stay at the NJV Athens Plaza. The staff, especially Nico, went above and beyond when there was remodeling in the room next door and my husband needed afternoon rest after surgery. They moved us to a junior suite, and the Acropolis view from there was even more incredible than from our first room. Every morning started with an amazing breakfast. We also received complimentary macaroons and a lovely heart-shaped dessert for our anniversary. One evening we ate at the Explorer bar. It was extremely quiet, but the food was great. Everything was perfect, and we'll definitely stay here again.

I stayed here twice in one week and had incredible rooms both times. The service from every staff member impressed me. First-class hotel all the way, and I'd definitely recommend it if you're in Athens.

The room was on the small side for the price, but the staff were all super friendly, professional, and helpful. The breakfast buffet had plenty of food and was delicious, and the lobby restaurant and bar served very good food too. The location is handy for reaching the Plaka District, Parliament Building, National Garden, Acropolis, and other important sights.

I had a massage here and it was a great experience. My stay at the NJV Athens Plaza was great too. The room was very clean, nice, and comfortable, the views were hard to beat, and the service was just as good.
