Pella Inn Hostel

The rooftop terrace has awesome views over the city and the Acropolis, and the neighborhood felt good and safe. There are lots of great restaurants, antique shops, and vinyl record stores nearby, and nearly all the interesting sights are within walking distance. The underground station is just a short walk away. We had a private room with its own bathroom. The room, furniture, and shower were dated, but at this price it was a good deal for us. Location and service were great.

The location is fantastic, and the rooftop is awesome. It’s open 24 hours, and you can bring your own drinks up to enjoy the view. The rooms were clean, with air conditioning and comfy beds. The pillows could probably use an upgrade, and my only real complaint is that the Wi-Fi didn’t work properly on the rooftop. For the price, though, it’s pretty nice and there isn’t much more you can ask for.

The rooftop views were fabulous, and the staff were friendly. The location was also very good, but I will NOT stay here again or recommend it to anyone. My husband and I spent three nights in private room 36, and it was well below standard, very small, and clearly needed maintenance. The door handle fell off. An electrical socket was coming loose and sat in a hazardous spot against the middle of the bed. The furniture was in terrible condition. The shower was right beside the toilet with no separation and hardly any space, so I had to sit on the toilet to shower. The toilet seat wasn’t attached, and the hairdryer kept falling off its wall support when I took it down to use it, because the fixing hole was too large or missing its screw base. The elevator was a tight squeeze for two. When opening its door, you had to watch out because you could fall down the stairs, and the walls had graffiti that nobody seemed to have tried to clean. The stairway had no light, which was dangerous, especially since we had to use it to reach the rooftop. The protective bars along the stairs were bent. The rooftop furniture was poorly maintained, and the area was dirty and in need of repairs. Reception looked dirty and cluttered too.

You can walk to all the major attractions easily, and the rooftop has great views of the Acropolis. The location couldn’t be better. Staff are nice and helpful, and the showers and bathrooms were decent and clean. The rooms are dated. There aren’t outlets by all the upper bunks, and there are no lockers in the rooms. The available lockers cost 2 Euros each time you use one. Worst of all, the Wi-Fi was practically nonexistent: upload speed was 0.18mbps, and it kept disconnecting. This hostel might work if you spend as little time there as possible, basically just showering and sleeping.
