I had a terrible stay and wouldn’t recommend this hotel. The room was old and dirty, with old beds and barely acceptable furniture and bathroom. The shower was falling apart, I couldn’t shut its door, and there was no WC in the room. The lock felt cheap, like someone could push the door open. The elevator could be heard throughout the building all day and night, sounding like a huge engine or construction work. The area felt noisy, dirty, and dangerous to me, with suspicious strangers around and what I saw as drug dealers and drug users outside. The WiFi cut out every few minutes, so I had to log in again with a username and password. After my first night, I asked for another clean room for that evening. I returned the key before noon and said I’d be back in the afternoon, but when I came back they put me in the same dirty room. I was also told I could get just one towel every three days, even though I’d booked for one night. When I asked for the room to be cleaned or for a refund, they refused both. I called the police, but they didn’t help, so I stayed until morning and left. The morning staff member said not to worry, that I’d have a clean room when I came back that night. Later, the afternoon staff member acted like a gangster and told me to go to court after I said I’d report the poor service to Athens council. The cleaning service was poor, and I found the staff and management very bad.

The service felt below what I’d expect even from a two-star hotel. You should know what the neighborhood is like before booking: I saw drug users everywhere, and many immigrants and refugees live there. It didn’t seem like a good choice for a woman traveling alone. In the bathroom, there was no shower curtain, so water went all over the place.
It’s near central Athens and Omonia underground station, but the street itself was unpleasant, with rubbish and people I wouldn’t feel comfortable around. The room had plenty of space, though it wasn’t clean or furnished well, and the bed wasn’t good.
The room was comfortable, though old and cheap. It’s close to the tourist spots, but the neighborhood wasn’t great, with a smell and people using drugs in the street. I wouldn’t walk around there alone; in a group, it should be okay.
The hotel is right in the middle of what felt like a ghetto. There were many Pakistanis around, and one of them stole my friend’s iPhone. I think Sunday may be some kind of market day, because there were lots of immigrants in the street then. Be very careful, or avoid this neighborhood.
