The place has a great setup in theory: you get your own room and share the shower and kitchen with other people. The location is perfect for visiting Athens, and I met Alis in her coffee shop, where she was very nice and welcoming. There was just one issue, the heat. The room got so hot that it was impossible to sleep properly, even with two ventilators. Air conditioning would make this an ideal place to stay, but there isn’t any right now, so be prepared if you come.

I paid for a room for the end of July back in May, and they cancelled just 24 hours before I was due to arrive. I was travelling from 1,200 km away, and they had confirmed availability well in advance and even asked what time I’d arrive so they could send a PIN. Then they didn’t answer the phone at all. I only got a text with a lousy excuse about being overbooked. That was an awful experience. I wouldn’t recommend this place. They’re not serious.

The owner was welcoming and helpful, and the rooms were clean, comfortable, airy, and warm during my winter visit. The shared bathroom and kitchen were kept very clean, with one on each of the first and second floors, and there are only a few guest rooms. You’ll need to carry your luggage up one or two flights of beautiful marble stairs. The location is great too, with two Metro stations and the tram terminus nearby, and everything a visitor might need within easy walking distance.

The rooms get such beautiful light, and the shared kitchen and bathroom make for a really nice, safe space. You’re right in the middle of the city, with food and shops all around and museums easy to reach. Such a beautiful place. I’d absolutely come back.

The room was clean, and the shared toilet and kitchen were cleaned daily and kept in very good condition. The location is right in central Athens: Monastiraki and Syntagma metro stations are a 7 to 8 minute walk, and the Acropolis of Athens is about 15 minutes on foot.
