The One Acropolis

We chose The One Acropolis for our wedding night, and it was easily the best decision we could have made. The experience was unforgettable, and I’d highly recommend it to anyone who wants their Athens stay to feel special. The views of the Acropolis are breathtaking, and this hidden gem brings elegance and comfort together. From arrival onward, the staff were warm, attentive, and genuinely caring. For anyone wondering about value, every cent was worth it for the quality, atmosphere, and location.

George was incredibly helpful and went out of his way to make sure our stay was perfect, which led to an upgrade to a beautiful Penthouse. From every window there was a sublime 180 degree view of the Acropole, and the very large terasse was lovely. The hotel is well placed for exploring all parts of the city. The building and room felt luxurious and clean from the moment we walked in. Our room was spacious, well appointed, and had every convenience we could want. An awesome stay, with great service and stunning views.

The rooftop terrace is gorgeous, with a million dollar view, and the hotel is close to lots of local points of interest. George and Panos went way beyond what we expected to make our stay unforgettable. The rooms are comfortable, with large waterfall showers, king size cloud beds, and luxury linens, robes, bath towels, and products. I could have spent my vacation in that bed. This place is STUNNING! We travel all over the world, and we’ll make a special trip back to Athens just to stay here again.

George, one of the managers, really knows how to let you hand things over to him mentally. If you like this kind of luxury, you’re probably used to making decisions and telling people what to do, and rarely get to delegate. On a Saturday morning, I decided to extend my stay, depending on whether I could change my flight. I was worried the hotel would fill up, but George told me to relax and enjoy the day, leave the flight change until the next day, and trust that he’d make sure I had the room I wanted. He’s the man. I know Athens quite well, and found what I needed for food in nearby Pagrati and other neighborhoods. Check out my other Athens reviews for fantastic dining experiences! The shared parking space is a great bonus, too. This hotel/mansion has a rare luxurious feeling, with warmth and attention that never feels overbearing. It’s a particular sense of comfort, with your senses tuned into the surroundings. The Acropolis stays in view 24/7, the interior uses stone and earthy colors, and the rooms are acoustically well isolated despite being by the road. There’s lotion, warmed floors, a jacuzzi, and soft towels. The lotion and bath/Jacuzzi smell wonderful. They use luxurious Aqua di Parma beauty products. I consider myself a fashionista, but I didn’t know lotion could make your skin feel that way.
