We paid 145 euros for this property through Booking.com. We understood that the second payment would be collected at the hotel, but Booking.com charged it the day before. With a baby to look after, the issue slipped our minds, and Booking.com cancelled the reservation, saying the remaining 144 euros was unpaid. We only noticed while getting ready to leave. I immediately sent three or four messages and emails to both the property and Booking.com, and called as well. The property had rooms available, but I wanted to check whether they might charge us extra. I couldn’t reach anyone at the property, and Booking.com tried to contact us but couldn’t get through either. By then the property was full, so we couldn’t book a room. I called again on the way, and the representative who answered was completely unhelpful, even though we hadn’t suffered any losses. We went to Chios and spoke with them in person. They also have restaurants, and we could have been customers there. Instead, they brushed us off rudely and refused to refund the money. They took our 145 euros unfairly and made no effort to help. I can’t say whether the hotel itself is nice, but we found them to be poor business people. Keep this in mind when booking. I hope he feels remorse when he spends our money.
