Domes Zeen Chania

The hotel beach is quite small and pebbly, which was the one disappointment for us. A day trip to nearby beaches is worth planning. We traveled to Domes Zeen Chania with our 16-month-old and had a wonderful time at this intimate, cozy resort, which still has everything needed to feel comfortable. Our beautiful room had a gorgeous view and a lovely pool. The staff were warm, attentive, and genuinely caring, especially with our baby. They noticed little details and were always ahead of us. Baby facilities were excellent, and the team was proactive. The Kids Club welcomes children from 4 months old, with professional, Montessori-inspired staff who adapted wonderfully to the tiniest guests. Restaurant Beach House served good food with fresh ingredients and generous portions. It leans international rather than strictly Greek, and some dishes had a little too much sauce, but the value is great for the price. Brunch was very good. A rare find for boutique charm and real family friendliness. We’d happily return.

The beach was lovely, with lounger service, and we could always find a bed at any time of day. Breakfast was outstanding in a beautiful setting. Rooms were immaculate and had all the amenities, which is rare in hotels. The staff were welcoming, friendly, and always ready to help. The bar had a wide choice of drinks and some marvelous takes on classic favorites. The walk along the track to the old town harbor took about 30 minutes, with restaurants and shops along the way. The hotel’s restaurant recommendations in Chania Old Town were excellent, with authentic food full of Cretan charm. They could get a taxi for us straight away, and the ride was under 10 minutes. We had a fantastic stay and would recommend it.

The breakfast was generous and varied, with plenty of traditional local treats. There were lots of options to suit couples, groups, and families, and the staff were so kind and willing to help. Chris was there for us from beginning to end. His warmth, kindness, and professionalism made the service feel exceptional and deeply human. He deserves a huge thank you for making this such a unique stay. I hope the hotel management hears what a great person they have and finds a way to appreciate him.

The weather was incredible when my girlfriend and I stayed in Chania at the start of April, and Domes Zeen matched it with a fantastic hotel and phenomenal staff. Chris and Anastasia really made the trip, giving the whole holiday a personal, special feel. We felt welcome and comfortable and had staff service around the clock, in and out of the hotel. The rooms, pools, beach, and restaurants were all amazing too. It was some of the best service we’ve ever had, and we’ll 100% be coming back to Domes Zeen!
