I normally leave reviews on Booking rather than Google, but a very negative review from someone else worried me so much that I decided to write here. We were leaving for Chania the next day, so I contacted the hosts. They reassured me there were no security issues with the property or the person who cleans the apartment. I can say that we had no problems during our own stay. Here's my Booking review: Ino and Antoni were wonderful hosts, and we were extremely happy with the apartment. They live in the same building and were always available for questions or requests. Their kindness and hospitality came through in all the little details. There were plenty of coffee capsules for several days, food in the fridge in case we arrived hungry, and Cretan bananas for us to try. The apartment is on a quiet street, away from crowds and noise, but just a few minutes' walk from the Old Town, restaurants, and cafés. The outdoor pool area was great for us as two couples, since we could relax there together. The apartment is spread over three levels, with stairs throughout, though that wasn't an issue for us. We left with very warm feelings about the place and the hosts.

We loved the place and thought it was amazing, but a lot of our things were stolen, including money, expensive makeup, and designer clothes. Wouldn't come back!!!

The peaceful backyard and decent-sized, clean pool were a lovely contrast to being right in the heart of town, within walking distance of the old city center and Venetian harbor. The rooms were beautiful, the bathrooms well maintained, and the host was fantastic. Everyone involved was helpful from start to finish, and we were more than satisfied with the accommodation and service. Highly recommend for couples, families, or groups.
