House Christie

Eva&Nikos were wonderful hosts, attentive and friendly throughout. They welcomed us with watermelon, treated us to all sorts of lovely food during our stay, and we left with warm hugs, feeling like friends. Thank you both for such a great time! We spent three relaxing weeks in July and August 2024 in the cosy, lovingly furnished holiday flat at House Christie. The beds were super comfortable. There is air conditioning, but we didn't need it because the house stayed pleasantly cool, helped by the shaded terrace. The supermarket and beach are practically around the corner, and we especially liked the tavernas, including our favourite, Palude. Outside lunchtime, the mountain scenery is lovely for relaxing walks. We walked to the recommended mountain village of Panagia and, once, set off before sunrise for the marble beach 8 kilometres away. When it rained for ten minutes, which was rare but pleasant, Thassos showed its green side with a wonderful aromatic smell. The island is easy to explore by hire car. Limenas is worth seeing for its archaeological sites among the lively harbour town. In the south, Aliki makes a nice shady walk through pine trees, past an ancient marble quarry and sacred ancient places, as well as a well-preserved sarcophagus.
