Simos suites

Host Caterina was very helpful. The villa is thoughtfully cared for down to the smallest details and works really well. Being so close to the famous Simos beach is a real plus.

For 300 euros a day in early July, this was a poor choice. We stayed in Villa 3 from July 8 to 13, and the accommodation felt overrated. It’s new, but compact, with limited space. The second bathroom is tiny, not suitable even for teenage children, and the upstairs room creaks. There’s no pool or TV, despite provisions for an antenna, and breakfast is NOT included. Oddly, there’s a fireplace and an iron, neither of which is much use on a summer holiday. During two of our five nights, housekeeping didn’t tidy the room or even the toilet. On another occasion, the caretaker flooded the yard while cleaning, and swarms of sphinxes appeared in the afternoon.

The location was convenient, but the facilities didn’t come close to matching the high price. We paid €300 a night for five nights in Villa No1 in July, and left disappointed. The bathrooms were only mediocre. One didn’t even have a shower holder, and the other had such a low door that my 16-year-old son had to bend to get through. That doesn’t fit an accommodation described as a "villa". Daily cleaning was clearly listed on a well-known booking platform, but it didn’t happen during our stay. For what we paid, we expected more thoughtful amenities and better care. The experience fell short, and we wouldn’t recommend it.

Villa no. 3 has no pool, and while it’s well maintained, it doesn’t feel very comfortable for five people. There’s just one separate bedroom, and the kitchen is basic, with only two burners and no oven, dishwasher or washing machine. The host is very helpful, and being so close to Elafonisos’s most beautiful beach is the main advantage. Apart from the two bathrooms, we had a positive stay, especially for a short visit.
