The staff at this beachside hotel were pleasant and professional, and went beyond what I expected. During the shoulder season, the restaurant and bar on site seemed to be the only places open. I also visited other beachside hotels and realized how large Elia Beach is. You can walk from there to four other beaches, while reaching several others means driving or taking a taxi because the coast is so mountainous. I had a very nice stay.

My honeymoon stay was a nightmare, and I couldn’t have made a worse choice. There was an unexpected accommodation fee of 15 euro/night. The pool was dirty, so we lost our first day of swimming. There was no blanket on the bed, and we didn’t realize it was in the wardrobe. The water jets were turned off much of the day, even though we paid a premium. Room service wasn’t available through the website when I tried to order at 5pm. The furniture was dirty, with extremely aged cabinets, and the air conditioners were old, dirty, uncleaned, and weak. There was no shower head at head level, no basic bathroom items like a toothbrush or bath robe, and no convenient socket beside the bed for charging a phone. The bed lamps were disconnected, so I had to move the bedside cabinets and connect them myself. Very disappointing. 1/5. Avoid at all costs.

We had plenty of room for me, my wife, and our two kids. The breakfast area by the sea was a favorite, with good food and a beautiful view. Reception staff were kind and helpful throughout, and the hospitality made the place feel like a home away from home. It’s also very convenient, just a short walk to Elia Beach.

The people made our stay at Arte&Mare Elia Suites Boutique Hotel the best. On morning and evening rounds, Valentina and Abdul kept our suites tidy and made sure the fridge had ice and bottled water for my scotch and water. Great service! Petrus and the other drivers were also wonderful, taking us between the suites, restaurant, Chora, and Scorpios, then back at the end of the day. The complimentary breakfast was a perfect start to our plans, and we enjoyed the friendly service and conversations with Jays and Dimitris, whether they were there in the morning or at dinner. Nick and Lowe kept us refreshed with drinks from the restaurant and bar at the beach, and moved a lounge chair for my friend while she sunbathed. My two best friends and I visited in September after being recommended the hotel. We’re from Texas, and it was our first trip to Europe. We fell in love and are ready to plan another European adventure. The beach and service were amazing. Thanks to everyone I mentioned. Hope to see you again soon. Adriana

Maria Kousathana was the highlight of our family stay at Arte & Mare's Luxury Villas & Suites on private Elia Beach. As Property Manager, she was warm and charming, helped us with vegetarian meal options, and advised me on choosing somewhere to stay in busy Athens during high season. I saw her checking on breakfast at 8am, and she was still answering my calls and texts after 11pm about transfers back to the hotel or desserts. She leads by example and works incredibly hard. We had booked a gorgeous 2 BR Villa with a private jacuzzi and access to two shared pools. The whole team was attentive. Valentine, the housekeeping lead, welcomed us and brought extra water and bath towels, and moved things around so we’d be comfortable. Daily cleaning and turndown service were refreshing. Laundry was available for an extra charge and was ready on time. Since the villas are up a mountain, Antony and Petros were waiting at the door to take us to the restaurant or reception, and also drove us to city locations and the ports. They were reliable and honest, though possibly a bit more expensive than local Ubers. The hotel keeps a record of where you’re going, which felt reassuring for our family. At breakfast, Klairy quickly learned our preferences and brought our choices to a table overlooking the Aegean Sea with a big smile. She’s a musician, and her background music added to the buffet, which had a huge range of food. The reception team, another Maria, Sam, and Stefani, formed a chat group with us and were always available for questions, requests, or transfer bookings. They kept asking us not to thank them because helping was their job and they were happy when we were happy. We also enjoyed a 30 mins massage at the Spa. The private beach offers sports activities run by the Hotel. We tried ParaSailing and loved the experience, but buying the photos was a letdown. They’re shared in an awkward way, one download at a time when there are over 100+, and there’s no thumb drive. When we offered to pay for one, they wanted to double the package price. That didn’t feel fair. Mykonos is one of the more expensive islands, but there’s so much to do: sea adventures, our unbelievable Private Catamaran Tour, Michelin Star Restaurants, and more. Maria Kousathana gave me confidence in the booking and supported the activities I’d planned for our 3 day stay and our excursions to and from the City. Our girls even went clubbing safely. Downtown Mykonos comes alive with white lights against the saphire blue and bright white facades around 1am and goes until early morning. We enjoyed dancing, food, sea adventures, sunrises and sunsets, the clear aqua Aegean Sea, and deeply humbling hospitality. Arte & Mare Luxury Villas topped it all with a cherry.
