Villa ONAR

The view is lovely, but there’s a lot of noise. The pool ladder came off and nearly gave me a heart attack. It’s disappointing that nobody warned us, even though it had already been cut off earlier. The house is old, and when the wind blows the metal roof and chimney are unbearable. We couldn’t sleep at night, and apparently there was no one available to fix it. When we asked for our money back, the electricity was turned off. I definitely recommend using Booking or Airbnb if you’re planning to come here. I really can’t recommend this place.

The outdoor space was mesmerizing, and the villa’s location helped us relax and feel close to nature. From the moment we arrived, the kind hosts made us feel welcome and at home. We couldn’t have asked for a better stay. I’m so glad we met these lovely people, and we’ll surely return next year!

We spent a wonderful week at Villa Onar with a group of seven, and I’m very grateful for the pool and all the little spots to relax on the terraces. The house has every amenity we needed and more. It’s been recently refurbished and kept in impeccable condition. The villa sits on a hill in a quiet rural part of Crete, with breathtaking views over the mountains and sea. The closest beach is about 20 minutes away by car, and there are hiking opportunities in the nearby mountains. It’s a fantastic fit if you like incredible views, outdoor and community living, and a slower pace. Andreas’ hospitality was out of this world. We didn’t expect such a warm welcome. Check-in was smooth, he explained everything clearly, and any maintenance needed was taken care of within hours. I highly recommend the villa and will visit again!
