After a day out exploring Santorini, coming back to the terrace pool, hot tub and generous outdoor space felt restorative. At night, the lights of Fira and Oía sparkled along the distant rims. Our stay was far too short, but we left cared for, refreshed and amazed by what felt like a once-in-a-lifetime experience. Ftelari was an absolute oasis with unbeatable Caldera views and real privacy. Walking onto the terrace of this beautiful private home felt surreal. The house is distinctive, spacious and cozy, and it sits at a wonderful vantage point on the island. Petros, the caretaker, put so much care into everything, from making delicious breakfasts to helping our 3 ½ year old feel at home. We were there to celebrate my husband's birthday, and Petros made that day and the whole trip better than we could have hoped. He gave us daily advice based on the weather and how to avoid crowds, and arranged great outings and restaurant reservations without any stress.

Petros made us feel like close friends rather than guests. He was always there to help, brought breakfast right on time, and shared local tips that made the stay memorable. Ftelari Villa gives you a rare sense of privacy and calm, away from the crowds but close to the heart of the place. The villa is comfortable and elegant, with every detail carefully considered; it felt like home as soon as we arrived. Everything exceeded our expectations. It's the kind of place you long to return to, again and again.

Petros made us feel welcome and comfortable, and prepared breakfast, coffee and pastries for us each day. He also had lots of recommendations and helped arrange reservations, taxis and excursions. The villa sits between Oia and Thira, right off the walking path. A few people from the trail may pass by, and you can hear the donkeys, but otherwise it feels very private and secure. The views are stunning, with sunshine all day and a beautiful sunset. The bedrooms are a good size, the bathrooms are lovely, and the kitchen is well equipped. The wine fridge was a nice touch. The pool and hot tub were immaculate. We liked having the outdoor kitchen area as a place to hang out when the other outdoor spaces were windy. It was a peaceful, restful stay in a wonderful home. I hope I can come back and spend more time in this oasis.

The manager, Petros, was the best part of our stay. He was kind, funny and helpful, never making anything feel like too much trouble, and he cooked excellent breakfasts every morning. Thanks for making our time at Ftelari so special, Petros. I hope to stay again. The villa is gorgeous, clean, spacious and very private, with an amazing location. The Caldera views stretch for miles and look like a postcard. It feels like relaxed, unpretentious luxury. The owner was also very kind and accommodating when circumstances beyond our control meant we had to rebook.

Petros deserves a special thank you. His kindness, availability, advice and tips for exploring the island made our trip unforgettable. With Petros, nothing seems impossible! We were two couples staying at the villa in May 23. It was beautiful, clean, well furnished and comfortable, with an incredible view. We highly recommend it for a trip to Santorini.
