Mr and Mrs White Oia – Santorini

The room was roomy, comfortable, and very clean, and we loved the sea view and how quiet the hotel was. It’s only about a five-minute walk to the center of Oia, so the location worked really well for our family’s four-night stay. The staff were always cheerful, friendly, and ready to help. Breakfast was the main disappointment. There wasn’t much variety, especially when it came to fresh fruit, and the bread was more like sliced sandwich bread, which felt underwhelming in Greece. We also would’ve appreciated a complimentary bottle of water on arrival and a kettle with tea and coffee in the room. We had a great time and would gladly come back, and hope they’ll consider those little touches.

Everything was just right for our two days in mid-April. The food was amazing, and the staff were polite and helpful. Our room was comfortable, clean, and looked straight out at the volcano. It’s a short drive from Foira and about a 10-minute walk to the center of Oia. Recommended!

The location was great, within walking distance of Oia but far enough away to enjoy the quiet and the nature. We had beautiful views and clean rooms, and the restaurant service deserves a mention for its stunning Caldera outlook. Sasha and Giorgio welcomed us so warmly that we felt at home right away. Tanos and Maria also did so much to make the experience a good one.

This was a terrible stay, and I was extremely disappointed that they still charged us for the reservation after we told them we were unhappy and left without staying. I’d have rather flown home early to America than spend the night in that rat trap. We went into Oia instead and stayed at Hom, which was amazing. The first room they showed us had a loft bed reached by a 90-degree ladder. They then offered us a room with a hot tub, but it didn’t work. In the restaurant, we waited half an hour for service even though we were the only people there. The Greek salad wasn’t bad, but the pizza and drinks were terrible, and the service was awful. I honestly don’t understand how anyone could give this place four stars, or even two.
