Alta Vista Suites

There were lots of restaurants and shops nearby, and we loved the views and location. Breakfast was good, though we left around 830 and couldn't have the included meal, so keep that in mind. Having breakfast at the bistro table with that view would have made it worthwhile. We came expecting a relaxing romantic stay, partly because the place is called honeymoon suites and that description is repeated in its advertising. We assumed that with five honeymoon suites and only king beds, it would be adults only. That's on us for making that assumption, but anyone planning a honeymoon or romantic getaway should know that children may be splashing in the pool and using much of the small shared space. It didn't feel very relaxing or like the advertised vibe. This isn't the family's fault, just something to consider.

The service and breakfast were definitely high quality. The room, though, didn't look as good as it did in the pictures. The view was great, as you'd expect in Santorini.

The views from our room were incredible, and the pool was lovely and cool on a hot sunny day. Everything looked beautiful and lit up at night. I would definitely recommend Alta Vista suites. George was a welcoming, amazing host, and the room was clean and comfortable. There were some noises outside at night, but we still slept well. The breakfast looked beautiful but didn't taste amazing. The stairs to the suites are steep, and the area isn't lit at night, so take care. You can walk to Fira or get there by walking to the bus stop. The hike from Fira to oia is possible, but wear hiking shoes, as there are no supports or barriers by the mountains, and the rocks get slippery.

That balcony sunset is something I won't forget. The view from Alta Vista Suites was breathtaking, easily one of the best we saw in Santorini. Breakfast was tasty too, with plenty to choose from, and I loved eating while looking out at the scenery. The manager made the stay feel especially welcoming. He was kind and attentive, always in sunglasses and a checkered shirt, and even helped me with my luggage. I'd happily come back to Alta Vista Suites.
