Anemos Fira Caldera View

This expensive stay was a terrible experience and wasted a lot of our precious time. Stay away from this owner or the sister hotel Anemos. The photos are misleading: we had to share the balcony, though they made it look like a private space with two hot tubs for the family suite. The problems started before we even got into a room. The address on agoda was wrong, so we went to the wrong place with all our large luggage. We contacted the hotel and were told to wait at another location. After we got there, nobody showed up. They kept saying someone was coming and only a few minutes away, but we waited an hour under the strong sun just to store our bags. When we finally got to the room, other guests were already using it. We were told to move to another hotel in Imerovigli, not Fira, and weren't given that information beforehand. They also agreed to drive us to Oia after checkout, but once again nobody came. The owner kept making promises and breaking them. When I contacted him, he said a last-minute ride would cost extra. We could have left earlier by bus and reached Oia sooner. We had asked for the ride as a special arrangement because our plans were already ruined. We'd chosen a hotel near the bus station, but the replacement hotel had lots of stairs, meaning we'd have to struggle with all our luggage again. With enough information, we could have planned better. The owner kept disrupting our plans and wasting our time. A one-star hotel would have been much better.
