Delion View Hotel

The best part was the caldera view from our private porch, with shops and places to eat close by. Staff met us near the road and walked us straight to the room, which was a nice help since the streets can be confusing. The hotel also served free breakfast every morning: fresh bread and fruit, orange juice, coffee, and freshly made omelets. Our room at the Delion View Hotel in Santorini was clean, with a decent bathroom and good hot water. The mattress was pretty firm, though we expected that from reading about beds on the islands. I’d highly recommend staying here for the view, location, and delicious breakfast.

A lovely, generous breakfast and the incredible balcony view made mornings special. In the evenings we could watch the Santorini sunset in peace, away from the crowded, noisy main street. My wife and I had that magical moment each evening of our stay. We chose a room with views of the caldera, volcano, and sea so we could take in the scenery throughout our visit. The hotel is quiet and very well located in the pedestrian area, about 60 steps up from the street. Our taxi driver called the hotel, and Alex came to carry our bags from the drop-off point. Daniel helped with our luggage when we left as well. The staff are welcoming, kind, and dedicated to giving guests great service. I really recommend this hotel.

We arrived in Santori the day before the State of Emergency was declared. The town was deserted, and some of us wandered around taking photos of the empty streets. We were lucky to get that extra day, because our ferry was cancelled due to high winds. The manager let us stay another night, and the State of Emergency was announced then. The sea view from our rooms was fantastic, and we could sit outside and enjoy it. Breakfast was great, and we’re grateful for all the help from the owner and her staff. It was one of the nicest hotels, with such kind people. Thanks to the manager and her staff, we’d return.

Breakfast on the main balcony is an experience you shouldn’t miss, and the sunset views are among the best, especially from a private balcony overlooking the caldera. The staff were incredibly helpful and made us feel welcome every day. Right in the middle of town, close to all the major places to see in Santorini. We had a great stay and will definitely be back!
