The views, pool area and breakfast were lovely, and Dana Villas will always be a special place for us because we got married there. We booked our 3 night stay separately through Dana, via a wedding planner. The steps to reception and then down to the pool are numerous, but we expected them, and I managed them in my wedding dress and heels without a problem. Our cave pool suite was very expensive. It was unique, clean and had amazing Caldera views, but the details didn't feel looked after enough for the price. The pool wasn't heated, its jets didn't work, a towel rail was coming off the wall, and the white floors had yellow stains. We'd told them when booking, and again at check-in, that we were there for our wedding. We weren't expecting anything major, but given how much we spent on the venue, bar and hotel, even a card or breakfast delivered to the room would've been a nice touch. We paid an extra 25€ to have breakfast brought to the hotel room. I'd be reluctant to stay again because the price didn't feel justified.

Breakfast was a real bright spot: the restaurant staff were lovely and the food was very good. But we left disappointed. This was our second trip to Santorini, and we'd chosen Dana Villas & Infinity Suites for our honeymoon, hoping for something memorable. The staff were friendly when we arrived. Beforehand I'd emailed about any complimentary honeymoon touches, and at check-in we asked about upgrades. We were told none were available. We then realized the Junior Suite we'd booked didn't have a pool, which I'd mistakenly assumed it would. When I asked reception if we could upgrade to a pool room, options suddenly became available. We chose the Grand Suite for an extra €450 for two nights, then had to move back to our original room. The Grand Suite was beautiful, but had a number of problems. The air conditioning barely worked, and reception said a part needed fixing and nothing more could be done, so they gave us a fan. The bedroom's second unit leaked continuously. Housekeeping wiped up the water, but the leak was never fixed. The indoor underground pool made the bathroom and nearby area damp, hot and slippery from the heat and humidity. There was a dehumidifier in the bathroom, which made it seem like a known issue, but it didn't help much. Neither room's TV had a signal or worked during our stay. With the room maintenance falling short of the luxury price, we wouldn't personally recommend it, especially with so many other options in Santorini.

Mariam at reception was kind. She came to our room, listened and showed real empathy, which we appreciated. She seemed to be the only one who did. We raised our concerns repeatedly, but no meaningful effort was made to fix them. The only compensation offered was lunch for up to €100 on one day. For a premium-priced Honeymoon Pool Suite, the stay was nowhere near what was advertised. The pool was visibly dirty, water kept leaking onto the balcony and sometimes left it unusable, and there were ants in our room. The bathroom lights were broken, the air conditioning didn't work, and half the pool jets were out of order. WiFi kept dropping, and the restaurant was closed without anyone telling us in advance. The lack of accountability made an already disappointing stay feel like a rip-off. I'd book somewhere else.

We were there the first week of April 2025, just before the official tourist season began. The island and staff were busy getting ready, but it never got in the way of our stay. It actually felt like we were watching the island wake up. The team were friendly, helped carry our luggage from the roadside to the suite, and handled breakfast and other requests efficiently over WhatsApp. Having my tablet along made it easier to message and check the menus. The room's included breakfast was incredible, and eating on our private terrace was the highlight every day. We had poached eggs with smashed avocado and smoked salmon, fluffy chocolate pancakes with fresh strawberries, Greek pastries and spanakopita, plus fresh orange juice, yogurt with berries and even hot chocolate. The quality was top-notch. The caldera views were unbeatable. The infinity pool was a little chilly in the April evenings, but it looked so lush and pristine that we couldn't resist getting in. Watching the sunset from there is a memory I'll keep forever. It's about a 15-minute walk up into central Fira, with lots of stairs down to the suites and back up to the road. You need to be ready for the steps, but those views are part of the Santorini experience.

The breakfast was fantastic, and the staff were really attentive and friendly. They even carried our bags up and down the stairs. We stayed in the Honeymoon cave pool villa, and it was so beautiful I didn't want to leave the room. The ocean and sunset views were wonderful. We could park our ATV in the main car park across the road, with several restaurants nearby. It was a lovely 10-15 minute walk along a scenic path to the main town. We loved it!!!!
