Modernity Suites

The terrace looks like a postcard, and the pictures accurately show the huge, beautiful, well-appointed rooms. Vladimir was friendly and helpful, with plenty of suggestions for activities, restaurants, bars, and car rental. Breakfast has great options and is brought to your room at the time you request between 9 and 11 each morning. Orders, questions, and check-in details are handled over WhatsApp. You’re right in the middle of the historic town center, near shops, restaurants, historic sites, and a short walk from the bus station. The tradeoff is getting there on foot with suitcases: the old town has lots of cobblestones, steep slopes, and stairs, and the steps inside the hotel are quite narrow and steep. Carrying our bags was challenging, but the views and location made it worthwhile.

We booked our specific room five months ahead. On arrival, they told my wife and me that they'd given it to someone else because it was too big for two people and other guests needed more room. With everything else fully booked, we had to stay there. I was furious. Later that evening I spoke with the couple in our original room, and they said they'd been offered it as an upgrade for $500 more. This place is a complete scam.

Vladimir was the best, and everyone on staff was amazing, attentive, and easy to get along with. I spent four days there and couldn’t have picked a better place in Santorini. The suites are gorgeous, and the AC saved my life most days, lol. Every night I watched the sunset from my bench/jacuzzi. The spot is perfect: about 3 minutes from the McDonald's where the taxi drops you off and picks you up, and roughly 4/5 minutes from the city center and bus stop. Shops, restaurants, little markets, and pharmacies are all around. You can even see the donkeys just below from the rooftop hangout. Highly recommend!

We travelled from Australia and stayed three nights at Modernity Suites in a Jr Suite (Calandra View). The breakfast and service from Vladimir were wonderful, and the view we woke up to each morning was amazing. The suites are very well located, including close to the bus station, which made it easy to get around the island for 2 - 2.5 Euros.
