Tzekos Villas

The sunset views from the pool area were panoramic, and it was a lovely place to relax. We had two unforgettable nights at Tzekos Villas. The staff looked after us from the warm check-in welcome through the rest of our stay. Our room was spacious, spotless, and beautifully designed, combining comfort with Cycladic charm. The amenities were top-notch, and the location felt peaceful while still being close enough to explore Fira and beyond. Every detail was handled with care, making the stay easy and memorable. We’d happily recommend Tzekos Villas to anyone visiting Santorini for its mix of luxury, comfort, and spectacular views. We’d return in a heartbeat.

The room we received didn’t match the Booking.com photos: we’d booked a double room with a volcano view, but the bed was on a second level reached by dangerously steep stairs. We paid €742, yet for 2/3 nights we couldn’t use the bed or the air conditioning. The remote wouldn’t connect, so we couldn’t control the temperature or fan, and the heat collected upstairs where the bed was. We reported it three times without a fix. On the second night, one staff member said he couldn’t repair it and would look at the manual. Someone on the night shift also couldn’t connect the remote and said it would be fixed the next day, after we were due to leave. He saw us move the mattress downstairs and sleep on the couch and floor because it was too hot. He said he felt sorry for us and that it wasn’t nice to see at his hotel. I’m now dealing with severe neck pain from sleeping on the couch, which has disrupted the rest of my holiday. At checkout, the receptionist didn’t seem concerned or apologize. She charged another €43 for lunches without acknowledging the discomfort we’d experienced. If one of my guests had gone through this, I wouldn’t have taken more money; I’d have tried to make things right. We received no compensation, despite staff witnessing the problems. I’m asking for a full refund because the accommodation and service fell far below an acceptable standard. If this isn’t resolved, I’ll take the complaint to Booking.com and the relevant consumer protection channels. Please speak with the staff who saw what happened. I look forward to a prompt response.

This was my second trip to Santorini, and I’d come back here again if I visit a third time. It’s peaceful at this end of town, away from the nightlife, though close enough to walk to the busy area. Guests seem to leave the partying elsewhere, which I appreciated. The cliffside setting makes the stairs part of the hotel’s character and architecture. They weren’t a problem for me, since I’m in reasonable shape and there’s no need to rush up them. But anyone with limited mobility or poor fitness may find this isn’t the right place. The rooms have plenty of space to unwind and a style that fits the location. The staff were especially sweet and helpful whenever I needed something. I’m giving the rooms five stars among regular hotels, rather than comparing them with a high-end place like the Four Seasons.

Breakfast was delicious, with fresh sweet and savory pastries, though there unfortunately weren’t vegan options. The staff were very helpful, including with luggage on all those stairs. The pool was nice, and the views were amazing. Rooms were comfortable, and the hotel is close to everything while sitting just beyond the crowds and noise.
