They cancelled our reservation two weeks before the trip because they were oversold, leaving us scrambling to find somewhere else. By then, most hotels in Santorini were booked or much more expensive. Be aware that if you book here, they may cancel at any time and wreck your plans.

As a travel advisor, I don't often post negative reviews, but future guests should know what happened to my clients. They were told they'd received an “upgrade,” then arrived to find the room's electric shutter window broken and unable to close. They called at 2 AM, just hours after checking in. Maintenance explained how to use the button, but the window still didn't work. High winds kept the glass door banging against its metal frame, so they couldn't sleep that first night. Maintenance first said they'd come at 6 PM, more than 12 hours later, despite warnings of a major storm. After another call at 8 PM, they eventually arrived, by which time the storm had started. With the window open, water and debris got into the enclosed jacuzzi area and spread over the terrace and jacuzzi. The floor had about half an inch of water. Wind also kept slamming the glass door, which can be heard in the video. Maintenance confirmed the shutter mechanism was broken and closed the window by hand, but water continued coming through the glass door. The second night brought more noise, debris in the jacuzzi and terrace, and water on the floor. At 1 AM, the guests texted me that they planned to leave. I said the hotel should have moved them, and that leaving without a refund should be a last resort considering what they'd paid. Even in a storm, a luxury hotel should keep guests safe. The hotel acknowledged the safety problem and first said it would move them the next day, then kept changing its mind. Katherine called maintenance again, and around 2 AM a worker showed up with only a mop bucket instead of moving them. He said water was still coming in because the guests had probably opened the window, though they hadn't. Katherine then told me they must have opened it themselves because the hotel would never leave a room window open that way. After more than two hours of argumentative, inconsistent back-and-forth, I offered to help the guests find other accommodation. Suddenly, staff who'd said the hotel was full said they could move them the next morning. There was still no apology or acceptance of responsibility. The guests left for Astro Palace. Santorini is known for hospitality, which made this especially disappointing. Things can go wrong, but the hotel's response shapes the experience. Here, the lack of accountability and professionalism turned what should have been a memorable stay into a stressful, unsafe one. I hope management takes this seriously and improves its maintenance response and guest communication.

The view was amazing, but the location is a little farther out in Fira, so there’s some walking to do. The heated pool wasn’t properly heated. I watched my neighbour enjoy their own heated pool for over two hours at sunset, while I waited around for a couple of hours and still couldn’t get into a warm pool. It was just cold. The shower room could be tidier, and the wet and dry areas aren’t separated properly, so watch your step, the bathroom can get slippery after showering. The staff also forgot our breakfast time.

Sofia handled all our bookings and activities, and everything went smoothly during my wife’s and my stay. A great spot if you want to be right in the middle of Santorini’s beauty.
