Nice wine, and a lovely spot on the sixth floor to watch the sunset.

Dinos made our stay especially easy. He was always reachable, picked us up at the harbour and took us back, replaced a broken coffee machine straight away, offered to carry our suitcases, and shared tips for restaurants and rentals. We felt very comfortable, and are grateful for his service. The balcony has room for a table and four chairs, with a lovely view over the rooftops to the sea. Inside, the apartment is spacious and very clean and well kept. There’s a living and dining area with a kitchenette opening onto the balcony, a large bedroom with a wardrobe and desk, and a generous bathroom with a big shower and washing machine. The kitchen has a stove and oven, fridge and freezer, coffee maker, and stovetop espresso pot. One drawback is the sleeping loft. A narrow staircase leads up from the living room to a low gallery with just a wide mattress for a double bed, and it was almost impossible to get into. The other challenge is access to the house: the path up from the lane is steep, uneven, and can be slippery after rain, especially with heavy cases. There is, however, a roomy parking space at the house, free to use, with an electric sliding gate. The lane outside is narrow and one-way. There’s no traffic, but the noisy mopeds and scooters can be disturbing at times. It’s about a five- to ten-minute walk into town and the old harbour, where there are two supermarkets, a bakery, a butcher, and car and boat rental offices.
