The family who owns the place are very kind, and the staff are nice. The price is good, the A/C works well, the pool area is pleasant, and there's lots of parking. But the rooms need investment. We're not fussy sleepers, yet the mattresses were rock hard, and each of us had just one tiny, thin, hard pillow. I guess we got what we paid for, but sleeping was difficult and the mattress left us with back pain. The showers need renovating too. Dirty curtains stuck to our skin while we showered, and the toilet and sink leaked constantly, leaving the bathroom floor wet. This place has potential, but the owners should be more considerate of guests and spend some money on better beds, pillows, and bathrooms.

We didn't leave straight after check-in only because we didn't want to lose the money. The old mattresses were uncomfortable, the showers had little pressure, and we had to let the water run for three minutes before it got hot. There was a smell of cigarettes and old furniture. This is from a very humble couple who travel on a budget. The service was rude, especially the owner, a bald man about 65/70 years old behind the bar who seemed not to care about clients. I didn't even want to ask his name.

Mr Stauros is a delightful and really helpful man, and the people here are genuine and kind. The room was clean, with fresh sheets and a cozy feel. If you need a neat, fairly cheap place a little outside the city of Chania, it's definitely worth considering.

The price was great for what you get, and the pool is really nice. It's in a good spot, not far from Chania. Rooms are basic, but clean. We'll be back!
