The location worked really well for us. From the hotel, it’s an easy walk along the promenade to Glyfada’s shopping area, and the Acropolis is about 25 minutes away. Lake Vouliagmeni is only a 7-minute drive. The Athenian Riviera feels like an appealing place to base yourself if you don’t need to be downtown. We also loved the room, especially the comfortable balcony chairs, and the hotel has a fun feel that could suit couples, friends, or solo travelers. Breakfast was one of the best I’ve had, with delicious coffee and fresh, flaky croissants. We ate at Sora too, and the Pan-Asian food was a real highlight. The spicy edamame beans were especially good. A fantastic stay. I’ll be back with my girlfriends.

The design looks great, and the rooms and pool area are nice. But the hotel sits beside a major road, with heavy traffic and honking even on weekends. It also has that design hotel look from ten years ago, and service barely seems to be part of the package. Staff came across as having an attitude, and breakfast took 45 minutes to arrive. The food was okay. Nice enough for a night or so, but I wouldn’t return.

The constant drilling and construction made the rooms extremely noisy, and the air conditioning wasn’t working. I contacted the staff more than five times, but got no proper response or fix. The only thing offered was a free dinner at the hotel restaurant. This was one of the worst hotel stays I’ve had, and the service was barely worth one star. Completely unacceptable.

The team made us feel genuinely looked after. There was a transport strike when we were due to arrive, and management emailed us several days ahead to warn us and arrange a taxi. Everyone was helpful throughout our stay. Our room was cozy and beautiful, and stayed quiet and peaceful despite the busy road nearby. The food was excellent, so we ended up eating at the hotel restaurant most nights. We could relax by the pool and order food there, or walk to the beach, just a few minutes away. My husband and I both really enjoyed our time here and would love to stay again when we’re back in Athens. Big thanks to the Ace team!
