Afroessa Hotel by Caldera Houses

We spent three relaxing nights at Afroessa hotel. The spacious rooms and amazing sunset views were highlights, and the pool was a lovely treat after a day exploring the island. Breakfast was good, though nothing special.

We stayed five nights and had such a hard time leaving. The pool was refreshing, and the views were the best I’ve ever seen. Breakfast was delicious every morning, and the staff’s friendly, upbeat attitude got each day off to a lovely start. We feel lucky to have found this gem. Everyone working there was amazing, hardworking, and kind.

Edi made us feel at home throughout our unforgettable week at Afroessa Hotel. He was always ready to help, whether we needed a taxi booked, ideas for lesser-known spots around the island, or just a friendly hand. Our room was spotless and beautifully kept, with picture-perfect views of the caldera on one side and Skaros Rock on the other. Breakfast was generous and varied each morning, served with care and a smile. Warm hospitality, lovely views, and impeccable service made this a blissful stay. We couldn’t have asked for a better place in Santorini.

We booked a honeymoon suite and loved sitting in our own little pool above the caldera. For what we got, it felt like incredible value, and the sunset view may be the best in the world. The rooms were nice, the staff were great, and breakfast on the deck from 0800 to 1000 was very well done. Getting around the hotel does mean lots of stairs, especially from our bottom-floor room to the path. We were tired by the time we got there, so anyone with mobility issues should keep that in mind. Santorini is difficult for walking generally, though there may be more accessible rooms elsewhere. We also only had one outlet by the bed. The team helped with everything, including getting our bags down all those steps, arranging transfers, making reservations, and offering suggestions, always with a smile. We were really glad we chose to stay in Imerovigli.
