Zoe, who leads housekeeping, was discreet, kind, and very professional. You can tell she takes pride in her work. We found the villa very clean, in a perfect location, and built just a year ago, so everything still felt fairly new. The welcome basket was a thoughtful touch after our long trip, with bottled water since the villa tap water isn't drinkable. The coffee was included and amazing. Marinos can arrange private transfers, so we don't think renting a car is necessary. The villa sits just downhill from the famous caldera trail to Fira or Oia, and there are two markets uphill for wine and food. Rare was nice and convenient, Avocado was top, and Buddha Bar had great views but prices that were ridiculous for what you get. Go for a drink and sunset, then leave. The bus stop is right at the corner and goes to Oia or Fira for $1.80. We'd return in a heartbeat.

The villa has a great view, a friendly host, and a huge jacuzzi on the top floor. There's a pool and outdoor area, private parking, and it's very close to the caldera road and the bus stop.
