Sleeping was very quiet and comfortable, and the apartment is large, with three rooms. But getting there without a car is difficult: you have to carry all your luggage by hand up stairs and along a stone path. The bedroom is cave-style and very humid, so we had to open the living room windows or use the air conditioning to dry it out a bit. The outdoor tub is really a plunge pool, not heated, and the water was cool. That might be nice in hot weather, but we stayed at the end of May. The balcony only has a partial view, with the restaurant building blocking part of it, and there’s no view from the rooms either. You pay a premium for the view, but the blocked outlook also makes normal photos difficult. If you stay here, renting a car is better. There are no buses, taxis are expensive, and getting anywhere is hard.

We spent two of our six Santorini nights here, and found it very private, spacious, and good value. The property had what we needed for either a short or longer stay. WiFi was decent, though weaker in some spots, including the cave bedroom and by the outdoor jacuzzi. Check-in went smoothly for us, perhaps thanks to earlier complaints. Getting around from here isn’t ideal, but the sunset views are amazing.

I wouldn’t recommend this place for the amount charged. We booked the Junior Suite for August 2023, and the stay was a mess from the start. Mr Nikos first said check-in would be at 11:00 am, but it didn’t happen until 16:30 pm. We were told to show the physical credit card used for the booking, which had been paid through Booking a month earlier. We’d lost that card the day before, and although we explained, they told us to go to the villa office on the other side of the island to sort it out by paying the full amount again with another card. The taxi there cost 50€. Several things didn’t match the offer. The hot tub was much smaller than in the photos, which seemed to use x0,5 zoom, and items listed as facilities, such as slippers, pillows, and kitchen facilities, weren’t all there. A lot of things were old and out of date, below what we expected from a suite at this price. Internet was very poor throughout our stay. The manager sent a repair person a few times, but it never got fixed. On our last day we asked for a one-hour later checkout because of the long wait on arrival, but they wouldn’t make an exception.

The location was a real plus: shops, bars, and restaurants nearby, but without the crowds of Oia or Fira, and still close to both. My husband and I stayed in the junior suite for three nights. It was roomy, with lovely views and two outdoor areas, one by the main entrance with a table and chairs, and another level with jacuzzis and loungers. We had sunset dinner bookings on two nights, which I regret now, because staying in the room for the sunset on our final night gave us the best view of the island and sunset. I booked through Airbnb, and Maria and Athena were easy to communicate with and very helpful. Athena arranged a boat trip for us and answered our questions. I hope we get to return.

We stayed in the room farthest from the entrance, which had the better views. Back in summer 2015, when the place was new, there wasn’t a hot tub, but we thought it was fantastic. The views were great, and the main town was a 20-minute walk away. They gave us a cell phone in case we needed anything. One of our favorite hotels.
