Atoles Retreat

The sundeck was our favorite part of the villa, with gorgeous caldera views from sunrise through sunset. The private pool was larger than most we'd seen in similar nearby places, and beautifully designed with a water feature and jacuzzi. One thing to know: a walking path runs between the pool and sundeck, so the space isn't completely private, though it didn't bother us. We spent six days in the two-bedroom villa. It was thoughtfully designed, the rooms were cleaned to an impeccable standard every day, and both bathrooms had luxury jacuzzis. Neil was attentive and quick to reply on WhatsApp. He offered to arrange activities, and when we asked, had an ATV delivered to the villa. The retreat is in a quieter part of Imerovigli, between Fira and Oia, with much less foot traffic. Breakfast came at the time we requested, beautifully presented and delicious every day. We could pick from several options: one savory dish, a Greek yogurt bowl with granola and fruit, and a surprise sweet item. We couldn't have asked for a better stay. Thank you, we'll remember it for a lifetime.

Neil and the team were attentive and accommodating, and we'd definitely recommend the place. We had the Infinity suite for our honeymoon, with a fantastic view and an amazing pool. It felt very private, and the breakfast was great too.

Breakfast was a ritual we loved: each morning we picked from a generous menu and chose a delivery time, then ate on our terrace with the view, sea breeze and peaceful atmosphere. We'd often take a dip in the pool too. The suite was at the bottom of the property, which turned out to be the most secluded spot. We could watch the sun sink right into the middle of our private pool, with front-row caldera views. We'd seen sunsets from boats, restaurants and hilltops, but this was our favorite. Privacy had been a big concern, since many Santorini properties sit beside narrow public paths where people walk right past terraces and pools. Atoles Retreat gave us the quiet, uninterrupted views we wanted. The suite looked even more stunning in person than the photos, by far. Neil was especially kind and available throughout. He gave us local tips, helped with bookings and restaurant choices, and was always reachable on WhatsApp. That kind of personal attention is rare at a big resort. We were picked up early from the airport, and to our surprise, didn't have to wait for the usual check-in time. Our suite was ready at 10:00 AM. We'd had a hard time finding a cozy Santorini stay with a private pool and those sunset and caldera views. I was close to booking somewhere else when I found this retreat, and I'm glad I didn't. I'm someone who wants every vacation to be perfect, and this one was. I usually take glowing reviews with a grain of salt, but the praise here really was true. If I return to Santorini, I'll stay here again. It felt like finding a favorite restaurant where you know everything will be just right.
