White Santorini Suites & Spa

A few days before our wedding, my husband and I found out that the honeymoon suite we had booked and paid for was unavailable because of flooding. We were offered two choices: spend a few days in a honeymoon suite at another hotel they own, then move to a different room, or stay in different rooms at this hotel. Either way, the rooms were all cheaper than what we’d booked for the full stay, by hundreds of euros. We didn’t get a refund. We simply didn’t receive what we paid for. Be careful, they may move you into a cheaper room at the last minute and refuse to return the difference.

The rooms and bathrooms at White Santorini were huge, spotless, and very comfortable, and breakfast was delicious and beautifully presented. The man with black glasses at reception was especially kind and helpful. If you’re considering staying here, don’t hesitate. You won’t regret it!

We spent most of our time on the patio, which had a plunge pool, two beanbag chairs, and a table for two. Breakfast arrived every morning and tasted delicious, with the most beautiful view. Our Superior Suite with a Plunge Pool was lovely, and the hotel itself was very nice. The pool would be great in July or August, but it was a bit cold in June. I’d choose a heated pool outside the hottest months and the plunge pool for summer, though the view is great even without a pool, and there’s also a shared pool for guests. We came to Santorini for our honeymoon and loved staying at White Santorini. Imerovigli had amazing views from its spot high on the caldera, and was much less busy than Fira and Oia.

The room I received was not in acceptable condition: there were dirty doors, stains on the furniture and walls, and terrace cushions that were stained, burned, and full of holes. The pools were dirty too, with cloudy water that looked poorly maintained. There was no minibar or room service. I had paid for a particular room category at White Santorini, but on arrival I was told I couldn’t have it because of a “broken pool” and was put in a different room. The following day, I saw other guests in the room I’d booked, and its pool was working. That left me seriously questioning the staff’s honesty. The manager was rude and unprofessional, brushing off my complaints with comments like “it’s nature” and refusing to take responsibility. I’m attaching photos to support what I’ve described. The stay was extremely disappointing and nothing like the service level or photos advertised on the booking site.
