Cocoon Suites

Joanna made the stay extra easy. She helped arrange transportation and booked us an amazing wine tasting with an incredible sunset view. We had the best time here.

For our honeymoon we chose Cocoon, and we were really happy with it. The staff were friendly and attentive, and chatting with the bartender was fun. The views were lovely, and being away from the direct sunset view and the busy path made the setting more enjoyable for us. Fira is about a 20-minute walk, mostly downhill. The uphill walk back is doable. We’d recommend it for a romantic getaway.

The hotel was beautiful and seemed just right for our honeymoon, until we woke on the third night covered in huge bites. When we realized they were bed bugs, we had to travel to our next stop. We had to do laundry to try to kill the bugs and buy a new suitcase. When we contacted Cacoon management to ask for compensation, they were utterly dismissive. Even with clear evidence we’d been bitten at the hotel, they refused to cover the laundry or suitcase, or offer any goodwill gesture. They said we could have picked them up anywhere. For a place that presents itself as luxury and high end, that response is beyond unacceptable. A honeymoon should be joyful, but this hotel wouldn’t take basic responsibility. Avoid it if your comfort, belongings, and sanity matter to you.

The staff made our honeymoon feel special and went out of their way to meet our needs. They even surprised us with wine and cheese, which added a romantic touch. Breakfast came right to our room, and the flexible check-in and check-out times were really convenient. From the moment we arrived, the hospitality at Cocoon Suites in Santorini was outstanding. Highly recommend it for a memorable stay.
