Dome Santorini Resort & Spa

We were happy we stayed here for our wedding. The spacious rooms are beautiful, breakfast was really good, and the staff were accommodating. They even found me a full-length mirror. The main hassle came after the wedding. The hotel isn't staffed around the clock, and there's no one to contact after hours. We left our key with my bridesmaid, then realized we couldn't get into our room, so in the middle of the night we had to walk to my friend's hotel to retrieve it. Not ideal when all you want is bed. Also, this is on the wrong side for seeing the sunset.

I had a terrible experience trying to deal with this resort. The person I spoke with yesterday was unhelpful, and although they ask you to email, they never answered my messages. I now understand why people might question the reviews here. American Airlines overbooked my flight and wouldn't let me board. The next available flight was full too, leaving me stranded and unable to make the trip. I called the resort, explained what happened, and asked if they could change the reservation to my friend, who was meant to stay with me. They refused, made me book another room for my friend instead, and still won't refund me. An American Airlines manager contacted them directly, explained the situation, and provided his credentials. I even offered to accept a partial deduction, but they continued to refuse. I have all the evidence showing that circumstances beyond my control kept me from traveling, and the airline has given me what I need to make a claim with my bank. I understand that policies exist, but a business should make allowances for some life situations.

That view from the room is unforgettable. We came to Santorini for a bucket-list trip, and everyone at Dome Santorini Resort helped make it one we'll remember. The service was above and beyond from check-in, and the front desk helped us figure out getting around the island. I especially recommend the catamaran tour. Breakfast and the restaurant food were delicious, including the breakfast delivered to our room. Andreas, who works at the outdoor bar and around the resort, was amazing. The room cleaners were quick and efficient, and everyone was friendly and helpful. If I could give the resort ten stars, I would. Thanks to all of you for making us feel like royalty.

The indoor jacuzzi was perfect, and the views were amazing. It's a peaceful, tranquil spot for a relaxing holiday, and Mike and his team made us feel welcome. Breakfast was super good too. My one complaint is the very poor WiFi. You'll need a car to get around the island since public transport isn't reliable and taxis are very expensive. We rented quad bikes for a day for £70, and regretted not hiring a car.
