The spectacular view, fantastic location, and spot-on restaurant suggestions made a real difference, especially Anogi. The staff were lovely, friendly, and helpful throughout, which we really appreciated. Our clean, comfortable room wasn’t one of the newly renovated rooms shown on the hotel’s Instagram, though. The bathroom felt dated, and it was a bit disappointing after the expectations those photos gave us. The room may be due for a makeover soon, and that would be great once it’s done. We also struggled with the air conditioning. The room was very hot when we arrived, and even though staff assured us it was working properly, it didn’t cool the space effectively. We’d spent three weeks traveling in similar weather and had stayed in several places with excellent aircon, so this affected our comfort. Both nights of our two-night stay were uncomfortably warm. The hot tub was underwhelming too, not the cleanest, and its bubbles were weak. Some maintenance could help. This is an honest review, not a negative one. It was the most expensive hotel of our trip, so we had high hopes. It didn’t quite meet them, but I think the room has a lot of potential and a few key upgrades could make it truly outstanding.

We stayed in one of Villa Lukas’s Cave Suites, and it was beautiful with a great view. It was close to everything without being overrun with people, and it’s a good area if you enjoy walking. The staff were quick and supportive, and Villa Lukas was a perfect place for our stay in Santorini. A great find!

Claude brought us lovely breakfast every day with a smile. The villa and the area were gorgeous, and we had an amazing experience. Can’t wait to come back.
