Meli Meli

The room was spotless and everything in it felt comfortable, plus there’s a pool right outside the door. We also had a garage included, which was very convenient. Everyone working there was helpful, and the manager did a lot for us. Meli meli is a great place for a Santorini holiday. Great job, I recommend it! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

There’s plenty of parking on site, and a rocky dirt path lets you walk up to town while avoiding the busy road with no pavement. We also found a great traditional Greek taverna just a four minute walk away, and some nearby places will deliver to Meli Meli if you ask. The property is lovely and well kept, near the northern end of Imerovigli and handy for the Fira-Oia walking track. My elderly mother found a few of the steep, rocky paths tricky, though we got around. The pool was gorgeous, but its single set of steep steps and handrail made getting in and out harder for her.

We really liked the calm feel here, away from the bustle of Oía and Fira, though both are nearby. Imerovigli is lovely too, with little restaurants to try, and the spectacular views make the effort worthwhile. The hotel is a small, intimate boutique place with six rooms, about a 10 minute walk from Imerovigli village. It feels rather isolated, so a car could help, but you can manage without one. We chose not to rent a car and enjoyed walking to Imerovigli, Oía and Fira. Some local routes are hard to navigate, and the roads have no pavements. Markella welcomed us with a smile and was always available for advice or help. She arranged excursions, checked bus times and helped us find local takeaway options. Our upstairs room was clean, nicely decorated and well kept. The bed was comfortable with fresh, crisp bedding, and there was good hanging and drawer space plus a small key safe in the wardrobe. Coffee from the espresso machine was good and provided, and there was a kettle for tea. The bathroom was small but fine, with reliably hot showers, and the kitchenette had what we needed. The room was cleaned daily. We were also given a complimentary bottle of water on arrival, since the tap water isn’t drinkable. That applies across Santorini because the water is desalinated.

Markella took care of everything, even arranging an ATV to be delivered to the hotel for our arrival. She also organized pick-up and drop-off in a luxurious vehicle at a good price. We’ll definitely stay at Meli Meli again when we return to Greece.
