The location is good, close to the lake, but the stay was unacceptable. We spent one night without hot water in the shower, either when we arrived in the afternoon or the next morning. It was October, and Ioannina was very cold then. When we called, they only said “sorry,” even though the lack of hot water was their responsibility. At 7 a.m., two people were outside our room hammering and sawing to fix something. When the owner came to settle the bill, we explained what had gone wrong and he went straight to, “You owe me...€ for the room.” He was lucky I couldn't speak Greek to explain it to him. I wouldn't recommend staying here. Ioannina is lovely and affordable, so pay a little more or take more time to find somewhere else.
We were three adults and all slept well. Breakfast was lovely out in the garden, looking toward the lake, and there was water, coffee, snacks, and anything else we could have needed. The beds, shower, amenities, comfort, location, and price were all just right. You can walk everywhere, parking is next door, and the owners were very nice. The place clearly has guests' comfort in mind. Highly recommend!
Getting into the rooms was a little complicated when we arrived late, but they sorted out the problem and everything was fine.
I'd give it an even higher rating if I could.
For a city break, it's hard to beat this location. Highly recommend!
