The pool area is really relaxed, with no screaming kids or teenagers. Beachgoers use the facilities too, which is fine since they seem to respect the property. Drinks cost a bit more than at other beach bars, though the food is reasonably priced for this kind of place.
The poolside snack area has a good menu, including traditional cheese pies, and two cold beers came to €14. The raised beachfront sits just above the turtle beach reserve. Sunbeds and a parasol cost €10 for the day, and you can use the facilities as well.
If you're backpacking on a budget, you might find this hotel fine. Otherwise, I'd look elsewhere. The room was small and smelly, and the toilet and bath were nasty. It just wasn't somewhere I wanted to spend time. Their breakfast deal is served at 8:10, but I'd suggest getting breakfast somewhere else.
We didn't stay here, but used the beach sunbeds and came up to the pool and bar for lunch two or three times. Cold glasses for Mythos, simple midday food, and decent toilets made for a happy beach day with some civilized facilities. With easy access to and from Kalamiki beach and a car park, it's a good spot for an uncomplicated lunch.
We didn't stay at the hotel or villa, so I can't comment on that. At Nostos Pool Bar, the staff were really friendly, the prices were very fair, and everything felt affordable. We had a cappuccino, an alcohol-free cocktail, bottled water, vegetarian pizza, and a sandwich for under 20€. They let us swim in the pool, and the bar has a nice view of the sea.
