The staff were always cheerful and ready to help. When we asked where to find traditional, slow-cooked food, they pointed us to Panellinion, which turned out to be a fantastic choice. We also ate at the hotel’s Senses restaurant, and it was a wow experience for foodies like us. We stayed in The Stone Room with Hot Tub. The bed was super comfortable, we used the tub whenever we wanted, and having breakfast brought to our room meant there was no need to rush in the mornings. The room’s style was so tasteful, you really have to see it. One small technical snag: the smart TV wouldn’t read a USB drive, so watching the movies on our hard drive was difficult. If you want to watch something in a language other than Greek, bring a tablet or notebook and an HDMI cable. That didn’t spoil the stay for us, though. We loved it and highly recommend the place.

It’s an easy walk from here to the Meteora Mountains. We found the rooms beautiful and very clean, and the staff were kind and helpful. The little restaurant was good too, with tasty food and a breakfast that had plenty to choose from. I’d definitely recommend this hotel.

On the first night, the hot tub in the room we’d booked stopped working. We’d paid extra for that room, but the hotel said there was nothing they could do because it was the weekend and didn’t fix it. We asked for a partial refund to cover the difference, since the room no longer had that distinctive feature. The hotel wasn’t willing to take responsibility for the service or the poor facility maintenance. Nobody checked in during our stay to ask how things were going or whether they could improve our experience. It’s a shame to pay that much for this. There are other places to stay in the area that are probably better.

Such a cosy, clean, charming little hidden gem in Meteora, and the staff are really friendly. My one disappointment is the buffet breakfast. The food is fairly nice, but they used to bring a standard breakfast right to your table, and it was so much better then. I wish they’d bring that service back!
