We originally booked three days over Christmas, then ended up staying two more weeks. We needed fast internet for remote work, and Xenonas Drymos guesthouse exceeded what we expected. The Wi-Fi was excellent, hot water was available around the clock, and the kitchen was fully equipped. Our spacious, well-furnished room was kept meticulously clean, with a fresh, hygienic feel throughout. Anastasia treated us like family, and she and Yiannis were welcoming and helpful, with advice on things to do around Karpenissi. The guesthouse is pet friendly and sits in a lovely, quiet area, just a few minutes’ walk from the center of Karpenissi and fifteen minutes from Velouhi ski center. We also loved the cozy lounge, breakfast area, fireplace, and peaceful garden, where you can eat, have a drink, or just relax. We loved our stay and would highly recommend Xenonas Drymos guesthouse to anyone wanting to discover one of Greece’s amazing mountain areas.

The owner was incredibly kind and attentive, and the quality was good for the price. She even waited up for our very late check-in and still greeted us with a smile. Communication was easy, and it was a pleasure to be the first Mexican guest there. 100% recommended.

We were there as a family with two children, and waited 25 minutes after arriving for the manager to show up. The breakfast was basic, with no variety or traditional items. When yogurt or fruit ran out, it wasn’t replenished. There was nothing Easter-themed, such as eggs or tsoureki, and the bread was ordinary store-bought bread. Only filter coffee was available, and we had a problem with hot water in the room. It definitely wasn’t worth the price, and I found the reviews misleading.
