Coconut Residence

We were delighted with our stay at coconut residence. The room was spacious, with beautiful interiors, and was cleaned every day with fresh towels provided daily. Maria at reception was always just a call or text away whenever we needed help during the trip. Thanks, Maria, for helping make it so memorable.

The location made it easy to walk to Thira and nearby restaurants, and the rooms were roomy, beautifully done, and cleaned daily. Milena, who brought fresh towels, was so kind. Maria at reception was phenomenal, with great service and local suggestions. Our large, very comfortable bed was lovely, and having a private outdoor hot tub was the cherry on top. Highly recommend Coconut Residence!

There’s a bakery, cafés, and a market nearby, and Fira is about a 20-minute walk away. Coconut Residence in Karterados felt peaceful and made a great base for exploring Santorini. The suites are roomy and minimalist, with a private yard and hot tub, plus a well-equipped kitchen and daily service. Mary was lovely to deal with and very willing to help. I’d happily recommend it and return.

Read this carefully before booking. The room was clean and nicely decorated, and the bed was very comfortable and large, about 180 cm. The hotel itself is very new, but my experience was very average. The surroundings weren’t attractive, with abandoned houses and cars nearby, and you look straight onto the parking lot from the pool. There are dogs close by that may bark for hours, which made relaxing in the jacuzzi or sleeping after 8 or 9 in the morning difficult. There was also a slight, constant noise from electrical systems inside the walls, even at night, with no way to turn them off. Privacy was another issue. Three of the six rooms are below neighbours’ terraces, and children would stare at us while we were in the jacuzzi. The photos seem carefully framed to avoid the close neighbours, or edited to show blue sky instead. The upper rooms also look directly onto the parking area or the pool roof. Our room had a permanent emergency exit light that couldn’t be switched off. Staff said this was the case in every room and couldn’t be changed, though we didn’t encounter that at other hotels during our stay in Greece. We also had to repeat some requests several times before arrival, and some replies took three days.
