GΗotels Theophano Imperial Palace

The pool was lovely, with a bar beside it, free sunbeds and fresh towels each day. The beach was suuper close and reserved for Theophano guests. There were plenty of drinks to choose from at every bar, including spirits, cocktails, beer, wine and coffee. I was really happy with our stay and hope to return one day. :) Our room was spacious, clean and fresh, with a sea or green hill view, a safe, fridge and TV, plus a large jacuzzi bath. The wardrobe had enough room for us, and the lovely housekeepers cleaned daily and left new toiletries. There was a good range of fresh, tasty food in the restaurant. The hotel staff were polite and helpful, and the lobby barman was funny, cheerful and made great drinks.

The natural surroundings are beautiful, which makes it a pity that we have no interest in returning. For a family holiday costing about 4,000 Euro, we found the food disappointing and were especially concerned about the drinking water served at the table. It came straight from the tap, was very cold, and did not seem safe to drink. Bottled water cost extra. The restaurant manager was aggressive, though the rest of the restaurant staff were OK. The conditions and facilities felt like those of a 3-star hotel, not a 5-star one. We could spend the same money on a nice holiday elsewhere.

The pool bar crew made this a week we won't forget, cheers to all our friends there! We visited Theophano in the first week of May and had an amazing time. Maria at the pool bar was excellent, as were Demitre and everyone in the restaurant. The staff were always cheerful and helpful. Our room was very clean and serviced daily. The food tasted good and there was enough choice to keep everyone happy. It was my first all-inclusive holiday, but definitely won't be my last.

The apartment was the one bright spot: it was a good size and layout for the four of us. The rest of the stay left me really disappointed, and the place didn't match how it was advertised. The all-inclusive deal was extremely limited. Only three cocktails were included, while most other drinks and plenty of things at the hotel cost extra. Bars opened at different times, so it was hard to know where to get a drink. We were told we could use several other restaurants, but later found out they needed reservations and extra payment. If we missed the buffet meals, which were poor and often had a stomach-turning smell when you walked in, the only alternative was salad. Staff were often rude or impolite. When I ordered several drinks for myself and the others in my group, they would question the order as though judging me. Wi-Fi only worked in the lobby and the connection was terrible. With so little to do without paying extra, that was another letdown. They shouldn't sell this as all-inclusive without checking what that means.
