After we had a big mess with the apartments we’d booked at another hotel, which was awful, we started looking elsewhere during our visit to Kastoria. We found Europa hotel, and words can’t express how grateful we are to owner Mrs Maria and receptionist Mrs Helen. They treated us astonishingly well and gave us the best prices with special rooms. Thank you so much! The breakfast was excellent!

The room itself was great, and the morning food was ordinary, nothing special, though there were waffles. The reception was very bad. My friends had problems with their rooms: one room wouldn’t lock, and nothing was done about it until 24:00. There’s also a door problem sometimes, either it won’t lock or it won’t open.

We felt welcome and well looked after at Hotel Europa, and had a pleasant stay. It’s comfortable and centrally located in Kastoria, in a good area that’s fairly quiet and feels very safe. Breakfast was great, especially the delicious sweet pastries. You can park for free on the street, or use a city parking lot just 10 meters from the hotel for 4 euro/24h.

Our room faced north, and the hotel was right in the heart of the city, close to both sides of the lake. Breakfast was generous, with tons of options. The bed was a bit stiff, but otherwise it was okay. The bathroom was roomy and had a big shower.
