Karavados Beach

Our balcony looked out peacefully over the mountains and sea, and the hotel felt like a green little paradise on the island. The outdoor pools and tables were clean and modern. At dinner and the buffet breakfast there was plenty of choice, including traditional Greek dishes. The servers were attentive, and the bartenders made delicious Mojitos, Freddo Cappuccino, Cappuccino and Frappee. Karvados Beach hotel was just right for our time in Kefalonia.

The staff really made our stay memorable. Eleni was a huge help, and we had a fun evening laughing and joking with Harry, with Harry Potter & Harry Styles vibes 😊. The hotel was very clean, and breakfast was tasty with a good range of options. We had a wonderful time. Thanks so much for everything!

You’ll need a car to get around from here, with the hotel about 25 minutes from the main city and 15 minutes from the airport. It has plenty of parking, a pool, a tennis court, sea views and direct beach access. The rooms look old-fashioned, but they’re very clean, spacious, have working AC and come with a balcony. Breakfast was nothing special, but it was complete and had different options. With breakfast included, it’s an affordable hotel with good value for money, and I’d recommend it for a holiday on the island.

The rooms were clean, but the doors let through a lot of noise. If the family next door has two kids, you’ve got little chance of sleeping in and missing breakfast. Everything looks like it’s from the 1990s, which I don’t mind in itself. The beds are another matter, though. They feel like they’ve been there for about 30 years, and I woke up with a sore back every day because I could feel the springs. Not comfortable at all.
