The breakfast room gets the morning sun, which made chilly autumn mornings on Kos feel a little more like summer. In late October the place was still open, and with fewer tourists the small site felt relaxed. I can imagine it getting a bit tight during high season, though. For a view of the beach, you’d need to pick a hotel closer to the shore, which would cost a little more.

The breakfast was delicious, with a nice spread of fried eggs, pastries and yogurt, and the woman looking after us was attentive and generous with her time. I can’t remember her name, sorry. For the price, this was lovely value. The room was very clean and had a kitchenette that was just right for making small snacks. I’d happily recommend it.

We felt very welcome and would gladly return. The beach is just a few minutes’ walk away, and other things we needed were close by. The clean rooms and little kitchenette made a handy base for exploring south Kos. Breakfast was a treat too: alongside fried eggs, bacon and vegetables, the hostess made pastries, tarts and grilled sandwiches herself, and they were delicious.

The family were so friendly and welcoming, and the breakfast was included with a great range of homemade food that they kept topping up. We had a great stay at Villa Bel Passo and will stay again when we visit Kefalos.

The apartment is about 500 m from the beach, and there’s also a restaurant beside the apartments where prices are much better than at the beach. The owner and her husband are very friendly, and the rooms are perfect. I’d fully recommend staying here.
