At 30-35 euros a night per room when booked directly, you get what you pay for. The rooms are clean and functional, but they smell of smoke, which seems to be allowed. The building looks better inside than outside, and it's within walking distance of a metro station. The woman on the morning shift is polite and nice. The man on the later shift, though, is shockingly bad at dealing with customers, and trying to interact with him can be excruciating. Also, a man named "Axiotis Efstratios" gave the place a 5/5 rating and appears as the business owner on the hotel invoices :)

It was 11:30 pm, and we needed help from two other guests to get the night manager to give us our rooms. First he couldn't find our reservation for two rooms, then said only one was available, and then said he'd give us the rooms if we paid again, even though we'd booked through Expedia. Avoid if you can. He was belligerent and incompetent.

Great value for the money. It's an old, basic hotel, but very clean and quiet, and the staff are friendly. Kifisia tube station is a 12-minute walk away.

The neighborhood is quiet, which is a plus. Service was extremely poor, and there's no sound isolation.
