We had to leave early because everyone smoked in the building, including the owner. The place was friendly and clean, but needed a major renovation. I can’t really blame the owner for that. What can you do with just a few euros per night? Greece has been through more than 10 years of economic disaster, then over two years of Covid. I feel for the people of Greece, and the owner was trying to survive. God bless you. We’re a Greek-American and Russian-American family with much higher standards, but I felt the hardship here. An older owner was sitting at reception at 11 pm to serve the few winter guests, while power and goods prices were climbing by the hour. Corfu is one of our favorite islands in the world. We love the country and its people, and we’re happy to be here.

Update: We had to leave early but still pay the full price because the owners and guests were all chain-smoking. I have apnea. If cigarette smoke bothers you, you’ll need another hotel.

I only stayed because of an emergency. They welcomed me warmly at 23:00. The room was clean but basic and unmaintained, and breakfast was edible. Since it cost me nothing, it’s hard to judge the value.

We lasted only an hour. The room was dirty and smelled bad, and when we showed it to the owner, he became verbally abusive and slammed the door. Terrible experience. Do not stay here under any circumstances.
