Zante Atlantis Hotel

The staff and room care were the real highlights. Reception was respectful and friendly, and quick to help with questions or problems. Even after we tracked sand into the bathroom and onto the balcony, we came back to a spotless room. Breakfast had a decent range and was consistently good. The location works well too, with a laundry and dry cleaner across the road and an off-license next door. I could do without the wristbands, though I get why they use them. Daytime WiFi needs a boost: people may need to check email or make Zoom calls, and the TV apps need it too. At night it was pretty decent. For what we paid, it was a good hotel with excellent staff service.

Makis at reception was warm and helpful from start to finish, and the rest of the staff were friendly too. The cleaners did a great job, and brought fresh towels when we asked. Our pool-facing room had good facilities, a very nice shower and a great hairdryer. It was a bit gloomy inside because the window was small, though the balcony got sun for much of the day. The pool was lovely and the location is good. Breakfast looked like there was plenty to choose from, but it was often lukewarm. We stayed in the hotel's final week of the season, and the packing up affected the stay. For the last two mornings there was no orange juice, only blackcurrant squash, and the food selection had shrunk. On the final night, soft drinks weren't available, the alcohol options were limited, and I was offered a cocktail instead, which I didn't want. We also watched things being packed away, and there were no parasols on the last day because the sunbeds were being put away. I understand the hotel had to close, but it shouldn't happen while guests are still there. I wouldn't choose the last week of October again.

We had a brilliant time, from the 15-year-olds in our group right through to the 70-year-olds. Our first room wasn't to our liking, but they moved us straight away, and the new one was lovely with all the modern comforts. Marko at the front desk was especially nice, just like the rest of the staff, who couldn't do enough for us. Breakfast was fresh every day, though the choice was small. The only real letdown was the pool bar and restaurant food: it was often overcooked and dry, especially anything with chicken. Thanks so much.

We had a great week at the Atlantis, and the staff made things easy. Everyone was attentive and friendly, and a special thanks to Makis for greeting us with a smile from check-in through to our goodbye. Breakfast had plenty of choice, lunch and dinner were reasonably priced, and there were lots of sunbeds around the pool without anyone rushing out to save them with towels. The cocktails could use some work, and food and drinks are card-only, with no cash accepted. Our newly refurbished room was modern and calmly decorated, on the first floor with a balcony overlooking the pool. The shower curtain was the one annoyance: the cubicle was small and water ended up all over the bathroom floor. The location is handy, two minutes on foot to restaurants along the main road, about ten minutes to the main strip for bars and clubs, and an easy ten-minute walk to the beach once we found a shortcut. We'd recommend the Atlantis if you're after a reasonably priced B&B hotel.
