Sentido Pelagos Suites Hotel

The kids loved the slides and pools, and we all slept well in the peaceful evenings. The hotel was clean and felt very family friendly. We ate really well, especially the fresh fish and salads, and there was plenty to choose from. We'd read some worrying food reviews, but I think people expecting huge international buffets at massive hotels might see it differently. That's not our thing, so we were happy with the food. The pools, bars and food were all great, and we had a brilliant holiday. A few more staff serving tables at the pool bar in the evening would help, since it got busy and service took a while. Some extra lighting or little table lamps there would be nice too. At meals, drinks aren't refilled in the main restaurant. Staff could do that, or they could add self-serve stations for soft drinks, wine, beer and coffee. We'd definitely come back.

The room's balcony was just right for sitting out in the last sunshine before evening, with chairs, a table and a sunbed. The rooms are lovely, and the whole modern hotel is very well kept. Staff were friendly and helpful throughout. Restaurant service was attentive, with plenty of lovely food to choose from, and nothing seemed too much trouble. Our daughters had a great time on the waterslides, which were a lovely extra alongside the choice of pools. At the pool bar, staff were attentive and regularly checked whether we wanted another drink. We also enjoyed both the Italian and Mediterranean restaurants. Watching the sunset from the Italian restaurant's terrace made the meal especially nice. The animation staff worked hard and put on great entertainment. I'd recommend the spa too. The massages were amazing, and sharing one with my daughter was a lovely experience for us both. The spa staff were lovely and very good at their jobs. We had a wonderful holiday and would like to visit again. We'd happily recommend the hotel to friends and family. Thank you for making our stay so good.

The last night made the room's biggest problem impossible to ignore. There was absolutely no soundproofing between it and the corridor. Guests in nearby rooms were loud all night, and I could hear every word through the hotel door, along with every footstep outside. I think I got less than five hours of sleep. We'd thought the room was quiet during the first few nights, but it turned out nobody else was staying in the surrounding rooms. I was there for 6 nights. The room was a good size and comfortable, though it was starting to look tired. For an all inclusive stay, there was a wide range of decent food and drink, and the hotel was reasonably good overall.

I had to cancel my trip after a serious medical emergency and gave Pelagos in Kos proper notice. The other resorts I'd booked with understood and promptly canceled my stays and issued refunds. Pelagos alone refused. Their dismissive response showed no consideration for how serious the situation was. I was extremely disappointed by the lack of compassion and customer care, and wouldn't recommend this hotel.
