The Olive Mill Guest House

We had nothing negative to say about our stay. The rooms were spotless, and the decor was lovely. In the heart of the beautiful traditional village of Lefkes, it’s a peaceful, romantic getaway. It would also suit a family of three or a group of three friends. Nakis was attentive and helpful, and shared plenty of suggestions for places to eat and visit. We’d highly recommend it.

We felt welcome from the moment we met the friendly hosts, Nakis and Claudio. The studio was private and very clean and tidy. Air conditioning was especially important to us, and it worked really well. We loved having drinks on the terrace under the stars and taking in the views. There are plenty of great local shops, a bakery, a bar, and taverns a short walk down the hill. A great getaway in a fantastic spot. We’d happily recommend it and come back, hopefully next year.

I feel lucky we got to spend our time in this little jewel of a place. Calling it just accommodation doesn’t do it justice, it’s a work of art. The welcome was so warm, and the village it’s in feels like a real gem to discover. I hope I can return. Mario & Eleonora

The site has a fascinating history as a former olive mill, and the studio has been beautifully renovated in a traditional style. My two rooms had thick walls that kept them cool. One had a kitchen and dining space with a fridge, kettle, coffee maker, microwave, and electric stove. The other worked as a bedroom, living room, and bathroom. There was a TV with Netflix and other services, and the Wi-Fi was reasonable. On arrival, I found water, fruit, tea, and a jar of delicious instant coffee. The decor was lovely, and outside there’s a sea-view terrace with sun loungers and a seating area. It’s a short climb from the village center, though there’s no sign pointing out the location yet. Lefkes has a grocery store, lots of tavernas, a bakery, and a few shops. Buses run well to Parikia, Naousa, Dryos, Marpissa, and elsewhere, and many of the marked walks start in Lefkes. I only met one of the owners, Claudio. He was very friendly and always got back to me right away when I had a question, including when I couldn’t get the induction stove to work at first. A fantastic place to stay.
