The balcony had a stunning view, and the apartment was clean with a well-equipped kitchen. Everything is nearby, but it’s peaceful enough for a proper rest. The housekeeping staff were kind and always smiling. Laura was very friendly and explained everything we needed to know. We could also arrange a scooter through Thanos at Cyclopath, which is part of the same property. We had a wonderful stay in Serifos at the Aigaion Apartments.

We booked by phone after looking through the photos and website. The complex is well organized, the view is lovely, the location is fine, and the cleaning was okay. The apartments are spacious and cosy, but the rooms don’t all seem updated to the same level. Our kitchen looked newly renovated, while the bathroom was a bit old and didn’t match the photos on hotel platforms. At €90 a night in early July, I didn’t think it was worth the price. Around €75 would have felt fairer for our room. The air conditioner was noisy and seemed at least 20 years old, so we couldn’t sleep with it running, but the heat made it hard to sleep without it. The Wi-Fi only worked in the kitchen, not the bedroom, and the shower water pressure and temperature kept changing. Ants came into our room and onto the bed during the day and night, possibly because we left the windows open. There was also a group of young boys in the apartment above us who came back every night around 04.00-05.00, shouting and making noise as they used the facilities. The service we experienced didn’t match the cost. At €90-110 a night, I’d expect a certain standard for the renovation and amenities. I could recommend this hotel again at a lower price, but this stay wasn’t excellent for us.

The walk up from town is steep, but the place is absolutely worth it once you arrive. The small apartments are clean and nicely decorated, and the view over the bay and harbour entrance below is breathtaking.
