Budget accommodation with lots going for it. Mike runs the place and makes it a fantastic base, right in a prime spot by the main beach. Hotel guests get free beach loungers and umbrellas. It’s within walking distance of the port, bars, eateries, shops and car or quad rentals. Kite surfing and windsurfing instruction are absolutely free, too. 👍

We stayed in early June and would definitely come back. The location in Livadi is amazing, close to pretty much everything, including the beach. Our room was great, and Michalis was super helpful with everything. The hospitality felt lovely.

Avoid this hotel if you don’t want your holiday ruined before it starts. The people managing it showed no hospitality, professionalism or respect. The ad promised free Wi-Fi, and the hotel staff member who helped with our reservation confirmed it. After we’d paid a deposit and arrived, we were told Wi-Fi was only available in the “common spaces,” meaning one couch near reception, not in the rooms. Our rooms also hadn’t been cleaned for days. We said we’d leave and look for another hotel, even though finding one at that hour on a weekend would be very hard. All we wanted was our deposit back. The owner’s wife came downstairs after a while, but she was impolite before we’d even explained what happened. When we did, she said, “OK, I don’t care, you can leave.” She then refused to return the deposit, yelling that there was a policy, although no formal policy was written anywhere. The hotel had misrepresented what was offered, and we should have been reimbursed. We hadn’t booked through booking and hadn’t even received a receipt for our payment. Eventually the woman, who was pregnant and tried to make us feel bad for having to speak with her, agreed to put the money back in our account. It never happened. We called her and her husband several times. He was even worse, claiming we hadn’t told anyone we were leaving, another lie, then saying without any reasonable explanation that he wouldn’t return anything and wasn’t afraid of anyone. I’m writing this because tourism in this country shouldn’t be left in the hands of people this incompetent and uneducated. Anyone calling their business a hotel should first learn some manners.

The beach is right across from the hotel, so you’re only a few steps away from a morning swim. The owners are kind and helpful, and made us feel at home.
